The Problem: Cluttered, Disorganized, unergonomic pencil boxes

My Solution: A permanently organized, convenient, and appealing pencil holder which utilizes the accessibility offered by your water bottle holder.

The Design: Making the PenCyl changed the way I create. In freshman year of high school I set out to solve my pencil box problems and made my first prototype (shown in the photo with my hand). It had many problems. The countless design decisions were both exhilarating and exhausting, but I felt that each one improved the next.

Four years later, and I’m more than satisfied with its form and function than ever. My next step is to produce and distribute the PenCyl as a product.
